Black has a nice defensive
combination.... 1. ...
Qh6+ and the forced trade of
Queens wins because he is up
material.
(White has sacked everything but
the kitchen sink to get an attack
here.)
_____

1. ... Nf3+ not only forks the king
and the pawn, but Black who was up
a pawn is now up two pawns and the
extra pawn on e6 is now passed
(meaning it is not blocked by other
pawns) givening Black a huge engame
advantantage

It is a bit of a mystery to me why
in the bullet game Conguito vs.
Mbelli on the Internet Chess Club,
black did not play 1. ... Rxb5
winning the knight because of the
pin on the rook at a1. Maybe
someone can explain it to me?

At first glance that pawn check on
f7 looks like bad
news for black. But notice
that black is way up in material.
He merely
has to play 1. Qxf7 and he is
O.K., even if he has to give up the
Queen for
the Rook and Pawn.
