We see a nasty side of Buffy that we see again later when Faith comes along.  I like how Buffy was tricked so that her friends could be attacked.  I also like how her friends, despite being angry, were forgiving when they realized what was wrong with Buffy.  I guess the way Buffy saved their lives helped.  I also like the upbeat song at the end followed by the annointed one commenting on how he hates Buffy.  

It was not the best episode but it was a good start to the season.

Buffy and gang deal with some students who are trying to build a girl from spare body parts. (I like how Xander shows some insight as to why someone might do this.)

The show had a couple of good action scenes and some witty dialog but the premise of high school students reanimating bodies suspended my suspension of disbelief. The pacing of the show was a little slower than usual. This is not a very promising start for the season.

Quote: "I am old fashion girl. I was raised to believe that men dig up the corpses and women have the babies."

• Quote: "So who do you kill for fun around here?"
• Quote: "Everything I put in the ground withers and dies."

This is very entertaining, but some of the relationships and situations seem forced to me. In later episodes everything feels more natuaral.

Even though principal Skinner rides Buffy, we find out that the police and he know more about the Hell Mouth than we first were led to believe. It is about time that someone in Sunnydale caught onto what was going on.
